Biography :

Dr. Partha Pratim Chakravorty , Associate Professor, Post Graduate Department of Zoology, Raja Narendra Lal Khan Women’s College ( Autonomous), Midnapore, West Bengal, India. He has more than 35 of years research experience in the field of soil ecology mainly on pesticides pollution in soil. He has started his research carrier in the year of 1987 as JRF/SRF of CSIR, Govt. of India at Department of Zoology, Visva Bharati, Shantiniketan. Dr. Chakravorty has awarded his PhD degree in the year of 1991. Thereafter he has started his Post Doctorate research work as Young Scientist of DST, Govt. of India and as Pool Officer of CSIR, Govt. of India. Total Post Doc experience 6 years ( Sept.1991 to August 1997). He has joined in Raja Narendra Lal Khan Women’s College in the year of 2K. Having more than 65 publications in different National & International reputed journals, he has produced 07 PhD and 03 MPhil students. At present Dr. Chakravorty has 07 PhD students. He has completed 08 research projects under UGC, CSIR, DST. He has received various awards like Distinguished Scientist Award in the field of Ecotioxicology from National Environmental Science Academy, New Delhi, 2008, Environmentalist Award in the field of Ecology from National Environmental Science Academy, New Delhi, 2013, Fellow of the Zoological Society, Kolkata 2014., Fellow of National Environmental Science Academy, New Delhi 2020, . Member of Royal Society of Biology, London, UK 2022Fellow Membership, GARNET 2022 He also the member of the Editorial Board of different National & International Journals. His teaching experience is 22 years in UG level and 17 years in PG level. Dr. Chakravorty is now the member of GB of the college, member of BOS (Zoology)of Vidyasagar University, Midnapore, West Bengal, India, he is also the visiting faculty of Zoology,Vidyasagar University, Midnapore, West Bengal, India.
