As a qualified Cement Process Improvement Manager, Mr. Kwaku Boakye has extensive years of experience and expertise in leadership, safety, operation management, reliability, digitization, project management, process improvements, process controls, negotiation, financial statement analysis, budgeting, geotechnical evaluation, and environmental projects. As a lean operation expert, He drives operational strategy to achieve financial goals by overseeing and managing all aspects of operations to improve efficiency and cost. He believes in leadership which influences positive change and teamwork. He sees the future of operational excellent lies in digitization and AI. He has held positions of increased responsibility in Lehigh Hanson Inc., Searles Valley Minerals, LafargeHolcim (US) Inc., Dragon Products Company, Robinson Nevada Mining Company, Knight Piesold Consulting, and Anglo Gold Ashanti. With academics, He received BSc in Mining Engineering from the University of Mines and Technology in Ghana, a master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in the USA, an MBA from Florida Institute of Technology in the USA, and currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering with interest in using digitization and machine learning to improve operational processes, CO2 emission and reduce industry impact on the environment. He has also taken Executive Management Courses with reputable schools like MIT and Purdue. He has more than ten publications to his credit relating to the operation, mine waste management, raw material optimization, digitization, and geotechnical engineering. He is a Registered Member of the Society of Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME) with regulatory recognition in the USA, Australia, South Africa, and Canada in the area of Geotechnical Evaluation, Engineering, Mine Design, Market and Financial Analysis.
