Dr. Michael Sarnthein-Lotichius is an eminent Austrian paleoceanographer, marine geologist, and climatologist who has been affiliated with Kiel University (Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel) in Germany since 1966. Currently serving as Professor Emeritus at the university’s Institute of Geosciences, he remains globally recognized for his foundational contributions to reconstructions of past oceanic and atmospheric systems.
